About CBC Learning
CBC, at the heart of it, is about Canadians telling their stories to each other. For 75 years, the CBC has enabled us to glimpse into each other’s lives and develop a greater understanding of our communities and ourselves as Canadians.
At CBC Learning, we see our job as a continuation of these lofty goals. As technology becomes a key part of the teacher’s toolkit, CBC Learning provides trusted primary-source resources with the high journalistic standards you’ve come to expect from CBC. This curriculum-relevant Canadian content is just what you need to engage your students.
The past year has marked some exciting changes for CBC Learning. As the new Director of Educational Sales, I’m pleased to announce that our CBC Learning office in Toronto and our Radio-Canada Contenus éducatifs office in Montreal are working more closely together than ever before. We’re now a combined team that includes a great mix of new energy and trusted experience.
Veronica Barton, a name that many of you will know, joined us in August as the Head of Canadian and International Sales. Veronica knows the world of educational media inside and out. Just let her know what your challenge is — DVD, digital or otherwise — and she’ll help you find the solution! Kevin Chlebovec continues to deftly handle our English-language sales, and Valérie Samson is our energetic sales representative for French-language content.
Throughout the year, you can find us at media showcases and teachers’ conferences across the country. We hope to see you soon in your community, and in the meantime, we would love to continue discussing your needs and ideas for teaching tools. Please don’t hesitate to contact us!
Johanne St-Arnauld
