Can I post CBC Learning programs to YouTube?

NOour files cannot be posted to any website accessible to the public — whether it’s YouTube or your organization’s public website.

DVD

Why is the DVD price higher than the download?

Digital distribution has increasingly become the standard in the educational market. DVD orders are declining, and lower volume leads to higher production costs. We’ve therefore decided to focus on digital formats, with an eye to meeting the growing market demand.

Our digital offering is very competitive. A teacher can download our programs — and even burn them to DVD — for as low as $99.

My institution doesn’t have the capacity to use downloads. Can I still get a DVD?

Yes, all of our programs continue to be available on DVD. But please don’t forget that any downloads available in ISO format can also be used to burn DVD copies for use within your organization.

C-11

With the new Bill C-11, why do I need to purchase programs from CBC Learning for a classroom screening?

CBC Learning is your only source for commercial-free CBC programs. Our programs, regardless of format, contain no advertising. By contrast, any programs streamed at CBC.ca and Radio-Canada.ca include advertising at regular intervals.

We offer you long-term access to CBC programs. On CBC.ca and Radio-Canada.ca, again by contrast, programs are only temporarily available.

In many cases, our titles are the only commercially available versions of programs that have broadcast on CBC.

Any reproduction, distribution and/or communication to the public of any works from this website, in whole or in part, for any purposes, including for educational purposes, is prohibited, unless you obtain a prior license from CBC/Radio-Canada authorizing such use.
