Westerners often see the hijab, or "modest dress," of Muslim women as a cultural barrier. Middle East correspondent Anna-Maria Tremonti herself found the dark overcoat and veil intimidating until she got to know the women beyond the veil. Tremonti spoke to the women of Iran, a nation which seems to have drawn a curtain of isolation around itself. While their faith promises equal opportunity for men and women, is this the case in the world's only theocracy?
