When hormone levels in a woman's body drop in her middle years, many North Americans see it as the end of life. Yet this is not necessarily the case in other cultures. Hot Flash on Menopause looks at the role of menopause in a woman's life and at the controversy surrounding the current use of Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). The program explores the issues, and asks if women in North America should be guinea pigs to HRT, or if society needs to rethink it's approach to health and aging.
